There is a very specific heaviness to carrying unsent words. We hold onto apologies we never received, conversations that lacked closure, and things we wish we had known a year ago.
Today, let it out. Type it into your notes app. Write it on a piece of scrap paper. Address it to the ex, the friend who drifted away, or the past version of yourself who was just doing their best with the tools they had.
Put all the grief, the anger, or the lingering love into that draft.
And then? Close it. Delete it. Burn the paper.
The urge to send the text is usually just the urge to be witnessed. But part of mastering your solo sanctuary is realizing that you can witness your own healing. You do not need to drop a match into your beautifully quiet life just to see if they will reply. You don’t need their read receipt. You just needed to get it out of your chest.
Have you ever written an unsent text?
